To Be Clear On The Staff
People seem to think I've raged and fired my entire staff. This is not the case.
Tech and Chemist have both resigned a long while back. There are no hard feelings, and I love the work they have done for me. They were the best GM's I have ever had working under me. Chemist and Tech both have real lives, and may stop by from time to time in the future, but who knows? All the best to them. Callie and Medic both decided to leave as well. Medic has no interest in GMing (maybe it's not for him?) and has returned to the server as a player. His legit character is renamed Medic, so you all know who he is. Blinzer is an awesome member of our staff. He can be a little abrasive at times, but he knows what he is doing and can handle a lot of different situations logically.
There have been some 'questionable' acts performed by our staff in the past. This involves summoning Beelzebub and some other MvP's during an event, odd players being banned as bots (we've actually never banned a real player thinking they were a bot) and mishandling of forum threads. I can't always be online, which is why we've changed the focus on staff members. Here is the job outline for our staff members:
- Work together to create complex, large, entire server involving events that reward players based on skill and luck.
- Check bots when players report them. We no longer roam around the planet bot hunting every single player; we have a suspicious watch list and will check those players regularly, but let us know if you think you see a bot! That is, for the most part, how we will catch them.
- Handle player to player issues such as harassment and bug abuse with muting and jailing, or in the worst case, temporary bans.
- Keep the forums clean.
Anything outside these (unless under certain circumstances) are outside their jurisdiction. Basically, all staff members other than myself are crazy ass super Event Staff. They also check bots and punish bug abusers and such, but only when needed. I cannot always be online and in my absence they are in charge.
Also, this deserves more attention than being at the bottom of this post, but we have hired two new staff members to work closely with Blinzer on large scale events. Say hi to Legion, and Scarlett.
